Policy and Conditions of Enrolment
Our mission is to communicate in Italian in few days. To use Italian straightaway in an authentic Italian environment. The possibility to communicate (speak, understand, read, write) with Italians and not only with other foreign tourists.The students of Cultura Italiana can live in Bologna as Italians during the course. They can use the city not as tourists, but as citizens of Bologna.
Cultura Italiana disseminates the language, culture, beauty and aesthetic taste typical of Italy. For this reason, Cultura Italiana teaches only the Italian language and culture, and not English or any other languages. Cultura Italiana is the only specialized and non multi-lingual school in Bologna.
Changes of Bookins, Cancellation and Refunds
The registraton must reach our secretary at least two weeks before the beginning of the course. Any registraton arriving later than this will only be accepted if there are stll vacancies. It is advisable, therefore, to wait for our confrmaton to make sure your late registraton has been accepted. As soon as your registraton has arrived, you will receive a confrmaton immediately. If you need to guarantee the opportunity to cancel or change the date of your course you can pay the insurance FREE CANCELLATION that is the 20% more on the total price of the course (please write it down in the note feld of the applicaton form). This opton is not valid for discounted courses or scholarships. If you did not choose the FREE CANCELLATION and decide to cancel your course, please inform us at least 15 days before the beginning of the course. In this case, your deposit will be considered valid for a subsequent course or refunded (Euro 50 will, however, be deducted to cover expenses and bank fees). Afer this period the course is not refundable and cannot be amended or modifed. In the event of irregular atendance or interrupton to the course on the part of the student, no reducton in price will apply.
Refunds prior to arrival
The downpayment of 130 euros is not refundable after an enrolment has been accepted and the school has sent confirmation for the enrolment in the course. For changes or cancellations communicated earlier than 15 days before the arrival the downpayment of 130 euros will be credited for a future course.
Refunds after course start date
If a student does not attend or shortens his/her course after the course has begun, tuition fees will not be refunded. No refunds are allowed for a delayed start or premature departure. Tuition is never refunded due to absence from class and study hours subsequently lost cannot be made up.
Accident and medical Insurance
We advice students to take out a medical and personal insurance before leaving their home country. Citizens from the European Union are entitled to free medical care in Italy if they hold an E111 Form which can be obtained from their local health authority in their home country. Citizens not of the European Union must conform to the requirements issued by the Italian Government. Details can be obtained at their local Italian Embassies.
Resolution of Disputes
If a student wishes to complain about any aspect of the school and its services, the complaint must be made in the first instance to the Administrative office in writing which will try to find an adequate solution. In the event that the matter is not resolved, the student or agent must make a complaint in writing to the Director of the school. Such complaints will be taken into consideration provided that:– The complaint is received by the end of the course
– The complaint has been officially made in written form
– The total amount of courses and accommodation have been settled in full.
Policy on Harassment, Bullying and Discrimination
Students at Cultura Italiana come from many different countries and the school is committed to providing with a working and learning environment that is free from all forms of harassment, bullying and discrimination.The School makes all students and employees aware of the policy forbidding harassment, bullying and discrimination
and their responsibility to comply with the policy. This policy is clearly stated in our terms and conditions so students are perfectly aware of it and accept it. Staff and students of Cultura Italiana are committed to treating everyone equally and without discrimination.
Acceptance of this Regulation
All enrolments are subject to the above mentioned General Conditions, which become legally binding on acceptance of enrolment through electronic and/or signed registration form or any written form of registration (also through agencies and representatives), the applicant tacitly agrees to accept these General Conditions.
Photos and Videos
Students, by accepting these terms and conditions and by subscribing to this enrolment form, authorize the school to use the photos and the videos taken during the course or during the leisure activities for promotional use.
